There are now 3 different locations where you can find friendly Outposters.

Entering our 20th year of operations, the Outpost will host many of its concerts in the 250 seat Sanctuary of The Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair. This new Outpost venue will permit us to accomodate more concert goers at as well as schedule shows later into the spring and early summer. (The new venue is air-conditioned.)

Larger shows will be held either in the 700+ seat Sanctuary of the First Congregational Church, Montclair (where we have staged many shows over the years) or at our other new Outpost venue, the 1,500 seat Montclair High School Auditorium.

Outpost offices remain at the First Congregational Church, 40 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair 07042-3396. All correspondence should be sent to that address. Also, that complex will continue to be the base for our community service projects and recreational/social activites such as our Spiritual Drumming series.

Public Transit From NYC

DeCamp Bus Lines, Inc.

Outpost in the Burbs - Venues and Directions DeCamp Bus Lines, Inc. has two buses that serve Montclair. Call 1-800-631-1281 or visit the Decamp web site for the latest arrival and departure times.

The #66R line will stop at the corner of Church St. and Park St. (a short block from the Unitarian Church and about a block and a half from the First Congregational Church). The stop is called MONTCLAIR: YMCA on Park.

The #66R line will also stop at the corner of Park St. and Chestnut Ave. The High School auditorium is 200 feet to your north. (between the UPPER_MNCL: Watchung Plaza and MONTCLAIR: YMCA on Park stops.

The #33 line will stop at the corner of Bloomfield Ave. and Gates Ave, which is a few blocks away from both the Unitarian and First Congregational churches. This is the MONTCLAIR: Gates & Bloomfield stop.

NJ Transit trains

NJ Transit's Montclair–Boonton commuter train line serves all three Oupost locations.Call 1-800-772-2222 or go to njtransit.com.

NJ Transit's Bay St. and Walnut St. stations are convenient to the two church sites and the Watchung station is a 10 minute walk to the Montclair High School auditorium.
