A unique entity….

The Outpost in the Burbs is a nonprofit community organization, dedicated to enriching individual and community life through programs which foster and celebrate creativity, spirituality, recreation and social unity.

A message from the
Outpost Board of Trustees…

These are challenging economic times, not just for our patrons, but for the Outpost as a 501(c)(3) (non-profit) corporation as well.

Over the years the Outpost Board has tried to offer our community top-quality music as well as a supportive environment in which to make new friends and positive difference in the world we share. Now we're asking to show your appreciation with a tax-deductable gift to the Outpost so that we can continue to thrive and grow as a community - more great concerts with top-quality artists, expanded community service opportunities, etc.

While a check is always welcome at the Outpost, we realize that is not always convenient routine for many folk. So, we've made giving even easier! Showing your financial support for the Outpost using JustGive.org is now only a few mouse clicks away. JustGive.org is a charitable organization, like the Outpost, which provides donors, like you, an absolutely secure way to give.

JustGive.org will provide you a receipt for your tax records. They will neatly summarize all of your donations for you. Think of all the postage, time and paper saved. No more frantic last-minute searching for cancelled checks. We know this because we've used JustGive.org ourselves and now it's your turn. Just think how good it will make you feel.

 You have our heartfelt thanks!

“They cultivate a kind of atmosphere that transcends a performance space -- they show their community really cares about artists. That makes artists want to be there.”
— Lucy Kaplansky, Performer, in The New York Times

“You knew you were a success if you played at the Outpost”
— Maura Kennedy (of the husband and wife American folk-rock band “The Kennedys”)

The Outpost added
two concert venues for 2007…
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation
at Montclair

“We’re so glad to be the first ones in the new venue … It’s kind of like a heritage venue, but they didn’t lose the feel. It’s just a lot of wood. Music bouncing off wood sounds really good...it's like the inside of a guitar..."
- Pete Kennedy

and the Montclair High School Auditorium
