Outpost in the Burbs recently applied for and received a designation as “qualified organization” as defined under the rules of the New Jersey Cultural Trust.

The mission of the Cultural Trust is to ensure a stable and healthy cultural industry in New Jersey that is sustainable under fluctuating economic conditions through the establishment of permanent, interest-generating funds to be an additional source of revenue to nonprofit arts, history and humanities organizations.

Allan Pepper and Billy Altman, authors of "Positively Fourth and Mercer: The Inside Story of New York's Iconic Music Club, The Bottom Line”, will be at Watchung Booksellers in conversation with radio host Jerry Treacy. The book chronicles the history of the legendary venue The Bottom Line (1974–2004).

Tickets are $5 and include a 10% discount on the book purchase at the event.
